I mean it. Don’t wait a “better time” to travel.
There will always be responsibilities in our life that demands a lot of time. In between these responsibilities, there will be the opportunities asking for you to travel, whether it’s vaycay time, a birthday, a marriage, a new job, holidays or whatever. Whenever this opportunity appears in front of you, take it. From the bottom of my heart, if you have enough money to pay for it (and won’t starve because of it), then go!
What I always say here, I fall in love with ”the new”. Seeing something new, discovering new neighborhoods, getting to chat with people I just met, who have different accents and are locals in the city I’m visiting.
Your eyes will see things they’ve never seen before. Your ears, your mouth. It’s a sensorial trip as well.
You’ll add new memories and new chapters to your life book. You might fall in love. You might love the life you have back home even more. What I can guarantee is that you’ll leave this place with more knowledge then when you’ve arrived. You’ll change a little bit or a lot.
It’s not mandatory to take a plane and go to the other side of the world. Travel around the country, your province, and even your city. Go to that far far away neighborhood you’ve never been. Drive a few hours to visit that cute city near yours, that you’ve never seen.
Right now, I’m at a cafe in Recife, a city in northeastern Brazil, visiting my sister who recently moved here. Just the two weeks I’m here already gave me so much insight about my life. It’s crazy.
Anyways, the thing is, we need to leave our homes more often and go to places we’ve never been before! The deal is to get lost! Get. Lost. And you’ll discover a new you, and that’s beautiful ❤
